S2000 sounds very jazzy at times (like it!) & yes, Chrono is in the top 3 of his best albums (like the French say 'on ne discute pas les gouts et les couleurs'), but one -2 actually- question: why the digi pack???!!! (these tend to deform&pale slowly but surely - cardboard versus plastic case) and why advertise jeanmicheljarre.com at the back when this (Sony) site hasn't seen any updates ever since 2000???!!!

Re: Comments i made earlier about jarres album.

I have listened to it a couple of times now and i have now found that i like the album more, but still not the greatest, and i do disagree with the comment about Zoolook being the best album it has to be Chronologie.....Zoolook excelent but no where near as good as Chronologie.

Just listened to Sessions 2000.

I know that this album is a progression to Jarres work, and I know that things have to move on, but what has happened to the style of music we have come to know and love of the past, the tracks that stay in your head, make the crowd "dance" at the concerts.

Whilst a very clever CD, these tracks on previous CD's would of been transitional tracks between the more popular numbers. Currently I could not say that any track stands out...

He clearly still has the creation, take Hymn to the Akropolis for example. (please release on CD!!)

Chronologie, Jarre's best album to date? I'm not too sure; it's good, but for me it has to be Zoolook.

Sessions 2000 is almost like a return to his Zoolook roots, where he as gone overboard on creativity with sound. It may not be as melodic as his other stuff, but technically Sessions 2000 is one of his most ambitious albums to date.

I like it a lot, and with each listen I discover more and more to like about it. Don't take the music at face value, don't chill out to it either. Listen to its deeper vibes and you will be amazed at what you hear.

Well done Jarre, and I'm sorry for any doubts I had before!! :o)

I have bought the new Jarre - Sessions 2000 CD and to be honest i am a little dissappointed with it; what has happened to Jarre, he has really let himself slip on the music he has done. It is still good but no where near as good as Chronologie (1993); which in my opinion has been his best album to date. To me it sounds a little bit like a soundtrack type album, does anyone else agree? I wish there was singles from the album being released as i would love to hear them remixed, either by Jarre or by other artists which he has been doing in the last few years.

I'm hoping that it will be available in either Our Price, Smiths, Woolworths or ASDA, otherwise I'll have to wait till Friday before I can get it!

But if I can get it, it will be first thing tomorrow morning, then spending the rest of the day listening :)
